out of space

For this series I photographed BMW World in Munich. The special feature is the double helix at night. I filtered out all disruptive aspects, such as lanterns, people and trees, and thus abstracted the building. My aim was to create a building that seems almost like it's floating through space since there are almost no elements of daily life.

 

The helix shape is illuminated in different colors, which are repeated at intervals. Since I never took each picture at the exact same time, unique lighting moods were created.
